The Natural Resources Committee has been actively seeking assistance to develop the outcomes identified at the Community Development workshop held earlier this year. To this end, the committee submitted an application to the Farming Together Initiative that has been accepted. The Farming Together Initiative is funded by the Federal Government and is intended to bring established farming groups in contact with appropriate consultants who can assist in the delivery of community development strategies.
Access to water and water infrastructure have been identified as key enabling assets that will greatly assist the Traprock region to develop new opportunities. Rod Glass and Tom Crothers will facilitate this important initial community engagement meeting and discuss those opportunities.
The Farming Together Initiative has the potential to deliver significant financial resources to the Traprock Group, so please show your support for your community and its future. Come along and hear what the prospects are for our community and then afterwards be first in line for a cocktail.
