Threatened Species

Threatened Species Commissioner, Dr Fiona Fraser, visited the Traprock on a very wet 19th October to hear about the work being undertaken in conjunction with Regen Farmers Mutual, some traprock members and Southern Queensland Landscapes. The project is built around identifying and protecting threatened species and to enhance the environment and ecosystems that support these species. The intention is that participating landholders will be financially rewarded for this work.

As the project develops all Traprock members will have the opportunity to participate if they chose to. The goal is to create environmental stepping stones or linkages throughout the whole district.

First Aid Course Report

The final First Aid Course Day was held on Saturday 2nd April 2022. After four successful days forty-five participants gained their certificates. Overall, the comments were that everybody enjoyed the challenge, be it a little confronting at times but I guess we should not expect anything less if and when we face something in real life. Cement Mills Community Hall proved to be the ideal location for these meetings. Finally, thank you to our trainer, Glen and Acciona (MacIntyre Wind Farm) for their generous sponsorship.
