The Traprock Group invites everyone (members and non members) within the Traprock Region to a Community Development Day facilitated by Professor Geoff Cockfield of University of Southern Qld.
We need everyone's ideas, suggestions and experience, to develop a plan for a prosperous future for the Traprock Region.

Why do we live in the Traprock (as per list from previous meeting)
Impediments to successful business in the Traprock
Young people willing but unable to take on properties/business in the region
Overview of possible solutions to this problem
Water as the key
Purpose of the day (ie develop the framework for a plan for a more sustainable future for the region)
Introduce Guest Speakers
Sam Fessey, Sandy Batterham and Tim Carnell to briefly outline their operations

Geoff will talk about his role in developing sustainable communities through work at USQ
Geoff/Justin facilitate session to gather ideas from the floor for business opportunities in the region

Opportunity to meet and talk to Local, State and (hopefully) Federal political representatives and Government Officers
2.00pm Natural Resources Committee focus – Duncan Ferrier
Work done so far by the Natural Resources Committee to gain access to water allocations

Geoff to talk about the development of the plan, what would be in it, what it would be used for etc
Facilitated session to gather ideas from the floor as to what should be in the plan
